hello from the hunter

So, we finally decided to start blogging in 2013 and you’d think as journalists we would have jumped on the blog bandwagon ages ago. But writing for a living has taken precedence... until now. So what can you expect to read? Our blog title – Hunter Hedonists – pretty much sums it up. The Oxford Dictionary defines a hedonist as “a person who believes that the pursuit of pleasure is the most important thing in life; a pleasure-seeker: she was living the life of a committed hedonist.” We both love great wine, good food, travelling and telling tales – after a few vinos the taller the tales the better. And the Hunter part is a nod to our new home in the Hunter Valley, which we love exploring. In amongst all this, there will be the occasional sports anecdote (Rick was a former sports editor who covered Wimbledon and Test cricket for a few years), political view or anything else we want to get off our collective chest.
